No Reason for DUI During Whisky Fest

This will be a big weekend packed full of entertainment. According to a statement from the Pendleton Police Department posted to their Facebook page, the Pendleton Whisky Music Fest team has “gone the extra mile” to ensure the safety of Pendletonians and their out-of-town guests by providing free shuttle service during the 2017 Pendleton Whisky Music Fest. Expanded free shuttle service is courtesy of CHI St. Anthony’s Hospital Safe-Rides Home program.

There will be free shuttle service from all Pendleton Whisky Music Fest campsites to downtown Pendleton on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.

On July 15 there will be shuttle service to and from the Round-Up Arena. Courtesy shuttle service stops are: Babe Ruth Park Tent Camping, RV camping next to Oxford Suites, on SW Court Ave. across from Hamley’s Steakhouse, Red Lion, Hampton Inn, Super 8, Best Western and Motel 6. Shuttle service will run from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. to midnight after the concert.

Elite Taxi will be providing free van service after the concert, courtesy of the Safe-Rides Home program. Vans will be parked on SW 12th Street in front of Dave’s Chevron. Wildhorse Resort and Casino will also be running shuttles to and from the event.

Update: SW Court Ave. will be closed from SW 10th Street to the Pendleton Convention Center immediately after the concert to allow for people to get out of the area safely. Free and prearranged cabs are the only vehicles that will have access. This will only effect traffic flow momentarily.
